Qur'an 2:1 — Surah al-Baqarah (The Cow), Ayah 1

It contains no words. No triliteral roots. No morphological patterns — no Form I through X, no verbal nouns, no participles. No grammatical case, no mood, no number, no gender. Just three disconnected graphemes: Alif. Lam. Mim. Raw phonetic units stripped of every mechanism of derivation.

The decompilation protocol — isolate word, identify root, extract raw process — halts here. There is nothing to isolate. Nothing to extract. Forcing these letters into triliteral roots — drilling Alif into أ-ل-ف (”to become familiar”) or Mim into م-و-م (”to be comprehensive”) — is speculation, not morphology. Classical lexicography does not support it. The tools simply do not fit the material.

The only honest rendering is the most mechanical one: three spoken sounds, in sequence. Nothing more. Anything beyond that is fabrication wearing the mask of analysis.
